How does it work? 

We offer a 30, 60 or 90-day buyback period. You have the option to extend the buy-back period, however, it comes with additional fees and a new agreement.

    Joe’s car is valuated at R1,000,000, which is the price he has the first option to buy back at from Dealer Capital after his chosen holding period. This is his Guaranteed Buy-Back Amount.

What fees are charged? 

All fees associated with storing the vehicle(s) are included in the buyback agreement, i.e. storage and insurance. The only true cost is our admin fee of R5 750 per agreement. 

What is the period that you will keep the vehicle(s)? 

You can choose a buy-back period of 30, 60 or 90 days using our online application form.

Are there any penalties for early repurchase? 

No, you can repurchase the vehicle(s) at any given point within your contract term.

What happens if I do not wish to buy the vehicle back in the allotted time?

You can choose to extend your agreement, and a new month’s fee must be paid.

Is there a minimum or maximum purchase amount? 

We only purchase vehicles that are valued at a minimum of R250k.

Do you buy both new and used vehicles? 

Yes, as long as the vehicle meets our minimum valuation requirement.

Can I sell you more than one vehicle? 

Yes, we will accept all the vehicles you want to sell, as long as they meet our minimum valuation requirement.

I live in Johannesburg, can I sell the vehicle(s) to you?

Yes. However, you will need to present the vehicle(s) for inspection at our Assessment Centre located in Century City, Cape Town.

How long does it take for the sale transaction to be completed?

If all documentation is in order before 1pm, the transaction will take place on the same day. If it is after 1pm, it will take place the following day.

How do I make my payments when I purchase the vehicle(s) back from you?  

Our banking details and payment instructions are provided in the contract that we will share with you.

Is there an online portal or app for managing my loan account? 

We do not provide credit and are not credit providers. You have a buyback option in your sale agreement to us.

How do I update my contact information or address? 

Please feel free to do so at any time by contacting us directly.

Insurance FAQs

Will the vehicle(s) be kept safe in storage?

We insure the vehicle for fire and theft while it is in our possession. The vehicle will not be driven at all after being delivered for storage.

What happens if the vehicle is damaged while stored? 

Dealer Capital is only liable for fire or theft damage.
